HOW MANY COLORS DO WE HAVE?

It must have been a big job painting this truck, but it sure looks beautiful.

Update: This pic is taken as 'digital photo of the day' at dpguru.com

I think Tony Blair must be taking lessons from his guru, mentor, buddy and fellow genius - George Bush. After the London blasts yesterday, he made a stunning revelation that left the world gasping and gawking -

"The purpose of terrorism is just that - to terrorize people and we will not be terrorized!!!"

OF GETTING FOOTLOOSE

I have been mostly out of town these days. 3 weeks back, I made a short trip to some nice places around Chikkamagalur for a couple of days. I came back, was in town for a day and took off to spend 2 days with my folks. I then moved on again towards hilly regions near west coast where it was pleasent and raining occasionally. I had an awesome time there, birding and eating. I have already written a bit on the birds front. And then there were lot of yummy stuff to eat, especially jackfruits and stuff made from jackfruits. I think I havent eaten such yummy stuff in a few years now. I might have come back having added considerable weight! After a few days in town, I was off again, this time partially on work and witnessed rains that lasted for hours and hours, and got myself drenched pretty often. Currently back in town, I might well be off on another long journey within two weeks if all goes as planned! :)

Sometimes I wonder how simple things make interesting pictures. I was chasing a purple sunbird a few days ago and the bird and it took me into these plantains. While the bird escaped, the unripe fruits caught my eyes and I tried several angles on it. This is what came out.

And these are a bunch of small plants that usually grow in small groups. You can find them in many places. I never thought of photographing such things. Only previous day, I had read an article on how to use the sunlight to your advantage and thought of applying what I learnt. This was the outcome.
